David R. Brown's Obituary
David R. Brown, 57, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. He was born in Rockville, CT on September 15, 1958, son of the late Beverly (Backofen) Pierce. David served our country honorably in the United States Navy. He was employed at Warren Woolen Company for 17 years, and then by the Town of Stafford for 16 years as a custodian, serving as head custodian from 2009 until present. He enjoyed trap shooting, and was a huge NASCAR fan. He is survived by his loving companion, Joan Stachelsky; step father, Robert Pierce; step son, Dustin Stachelsky and his children Devin and Dylan; siblings, Robin Trahan and her husband Robert, Stephen Pierce and his partner Kathleen O’Riely, Scott Pierce and his wife Carol, Debbie Descheneaux, Robert Pierce, Jr. and his wife Janet, and Thomas Pierce and his wife Claire; mother-in-law, Ann Willis; sister-in-law, Lori Goodale; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services with burial in Center Cemetery, Coventry, CT, will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
