David Eaton's Obituary
David L. Eaton, 66, of Union, CT, died on Friday, July 16, 2010 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, MA. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Lloyd, Sr. and Emma (Gaudette) Eaton of Union, CT. David leaves his two sons, David D. Eaton of Union, CT, and Mark T. Eaton of Stafford Springs, CT; his daughter, Lisa Folger and her husband Art of Holland, MA; grandchildren Jenna, Caitlyn, and Alexis Eaton, Lindsey Eaton, and Jessica and Matthew Folger; his brother, Lloyd Eaton, Jr. and his wife Maureen of Union, CT; his life-long friend and fiancé Janet Peterson of Union, CT; two nieces; a nephew; and many cousins and friends. David attended Stafford High School before enlisting in the Army National Guard. Following his discharge, he worked in construction, and was a 25 year member of Local # 98 Operation Engineers out of East Longmeadow, MA. He retired in September of 1992 after suffering a massive heart attack. David enjoyed dancing, camping, boating, motorcycling, and winters in Florida. Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 19, 2010 from 5-7 P.M. with a funeral service to take place at 7 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial in Union Center Cemetery, Cemetery Rd., Union, CT, will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Union Volunteer Fire Department, 1049 Buckley Highway, Union, CT 06076.
