Debra L. Day's Obituary
Debra L. Day, 53, of Coventry, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at home. She was born in Norwich, CT, daughter of Robert Preston and the late Evelyn (Ames) Cheverier and her stepfather, Dennis Cheverier. Debra worked as a cook for many years, and upon retiring she was a paraeducator at Nathan Hale Middle School in Coventry. She was a loving mother and grandmother with a big heart. Debra was like a second Mom to many people. She was an amazing cook and had a love of the beach. Debra is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Curtis A. Day; three children, Matthew Ridel, Branden Ridel and Felisha Gauthier; a granddaughter, Autumn Rose Ridel and another on the way; four siblings, Scott Preston and his wife Alice, Howard Preston and his companion Nancy Monterio, Kim Thibodeau and her husband Neil, and Karen Mulvaney and her fiancé Dan Caprilozzi; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery.
