Dennis A. Gaulin's Obituary
Dennis A. Gaulin, 69, of Stafford Springs, CT, loving husband of the late Darlene M. (Sierputowski) Gaulin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 7, 2021. He was born in Woonsocket, RI, son of the late Jean Paul and Gertrude (Plante) Gaulin. Dennis retired from the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation at Bradley International Airport after 30 years of service. Following retirement, he worked at the Stafford Springs cemetery and later spent many mornings visiting and walking the grounds which he found very peaceful. In his spare time, he enjoyed many hobbies such as gardening, fishing, digging for old bottles, motorcycle riding, weightlifting in his earlier years, and spending precious moments with his grandchildren. In his remaining years he dedicated his life to being a caretaker to his wife, Darlene, whom he loved very much. He should be remembered as a dedicated and selfless person to both his family and friends willing to help anyone. For 35 years, as his two sons and many photographs can attest, he spent hours of his life cutting, splitting, and stacking wood. A dedicated and loving father, grandfather, and brother, Dennis is survived by his two sons, Jeremy Gaulin and his wife Karina, and Justin Gaulin and his wife Stephanie; four grandchildren, Ayden, Bentley, Harriet, and Louisa; three siblings, Mark Gaulin and his wife Karyn, Roger Gaulin and his wife Debbie, and Janice Blaise and her husband Bob; several nieces and nephews; and many kind friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Russell Gaulin. Funeral services with burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be held privately on September 11, 2021. Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., Stafford Springs, CT, has care of the arrangements. To leave a condolence online for the family, please visit: www.introvignefuneralhome.com
