Derrick J. Lawson's Obituary
Derrick J. Lawson, 34, formerly of Stafford Springs, CT passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. He was born in Manchester, CT, son of Michael Lawson and Tracy (Wilson) Goff. Derrick graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from City University of New York. Derrick made his home in Philadelphia and worked at Avevo designing software for various industries. Derrick loved cooking, the outdoors, camping, plants and gaming. He was an expert when it came to politics and enjoyed going to karaoke nights in Philly. Derrick especially loved spending time with his friends. Derrick is survived by his mother, Tracy Goff and her husband Aaron; father, Michael Lawson and his girlfriend Susan Ryan; stepmother, Sherry Lawson and her boyfriend Joe Hodge; four siblings, James Lawson, Madilyn Lawson and her fiancé Migert Peci, Samuel Lawson and Austin Goff; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Sharon Wilson and Ralph and Maryann Butch; aunts and uncles, Heather and Joe Cocco, Daniel and Joseline Lawson, and Cindy Lawson, Susan Pitz and her husband Drew, Cindy Thomsen and her husband Dan, Lori-Ann Canny and her husband Brendan, special friends Emilio, Danielle, Jason and Marwan; and his beloved fur baby, Mr. Bean. Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a memorial service beginning at 6:00 PM at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
