Desiree LaFond's Obituary
Desiree Ann LaFond, 22, of Chesapeake, Virginia, and formerly of Chicopee, MA, and Florida, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at MCV Hospital, Richmond, Virginia. She was born in Holyoke, MA, daughter of Bernard E. LaFond, Jr. and Dorothy (Possardt) LaFond, who currently reside in Florida. She was a graduate of Valencia Community College, and was currently working as a waitress. Desiree devoted much of her time while she was in Florida to Give Kids the World. Known for her great smile, big heart, love for family and friends, she was always ready and willing to give and share. She was a great influence in many lives for her strength, courage, and determination. She always had a plan with a capital P. She was an easy person to love and get along with. Des will leave an empty space in many hearts. Besides her parents, Desiree is survived by her three brothers, Paul and Travis of Florida, and Mark of Virginia; her paternal grandmother, Kathy LaFond of Chicopee, MA; her boyfriend, Alex; a nephew; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 5-8 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. A graveside service will take place on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 1 P.M. at St. Rose Cemetery, Granby Rd., South Hadley, MA.
