Diane M. Davis' Obituary
Diane M. Davis, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and devoted partner, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on December 7, 1951. Diane was a woman of incredible warmth, kindness, and generosity—a gentle soul with a heart of gold.
Diane shared more than 13 wonderful years with her lifelong partner, Dennis Desautels, whose love and companionship brought her great joy. She was the cherished daughter of the late Carl and Anna Hines and a devoted mother to Barbara Jewell, Larry Jewell and his wife Arleen, Tracey Jewell and Neil Jewell. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in being a grandmother to Brandon Jewell and his husband Alex, Katie Barnaby, Tiphany Taylor and her husband Tim, Shaine Baker and his wife Jackie, Larry Jewell Jr. and his wife Jen, Dillon Jewell, Alexis Jewell, and Cameron Jewell. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Mya, Culten, Ava, Mason, Jojo, Carter, and Savanna, all of whom she adored.
Diane is survived by her loving sisters, Pamula Simpkins, Kimberly Hines, and Patty Hines; and nieces and nephews, Dusty Hines, Jeremey Hines, Nicki Wenzlow, Wayne Demers, Charley Demers, Jennifer Paye, John Paye, Daisey Darling, and Katie Simpkins. She was predeceased by her beloved husbands, Neil Jewell and Bruce Davis, her son Tracey Jewell, as well as her parents, Carl and Anna Hines.
A woman of unwavering generosity, Diane found joy in giving to others. She loved to shop for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and anyone she cared for, always finding special ways to make them feel loved. She would give the shirt off her back for those in need, embodying selflessness in everything she did.
Diane was an avid bingo and card player, always enjoying the company of friends and the excitement of the game. She also dedicated much of her time to volunteering at the Warren Senior Center’s thrift shop, where her warm personality and charm made her the top salesperson. Her ability to connect with people and her genuine care for others left a lasting impact on those who knew her.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at the Cancer Center at Cooley Dickinson Hospital and to Beacon Hospice for their exceptional care and support.
In honor of Diane’s generous spirit, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
