Donald G. Bessette, Sr., 70, of Highland Terrace, Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at his home. He was born in Manchester, CT, son of the late Paul, Sr. and Marie (Williams) Bessette. Donald served in the Connecticut National Guard, and retired from Patent Constructions Systems of West Hartford as an equipment operator. Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Joyce (Fisher) Bessette; two sons, Donald G. Bessette, Jr. and his wife Lisa, and Bryan Bessette; four grandchildren, Taylor O’Grady and her husband Adam, and Brooke, Austin, and Cameron Bessette; two sisters, Pat Pelkey and Beatrice Mattarelli and her husband Louis; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by six brothers and two sisters. A calling hour will be held on Monday, September 20, 2010 from 9-10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a graveside service at 10:30 A.M. at St. Edward Cemetery, West Stafford Rd., Stafford Springs, CT.
