Donald Brisson's Obituary
Donald L. Brisson, 77, of Colgate Dr., Manchester, CT, and formerly of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Portland, ME, son of the late Leon and Merna (Gallant) Brisson. Don retired from the Connecticut Water Company as a utility worker. He had a great affection for country western and bluegrass music, his two dogs Benny and Ruby, and his two cats Abbey and Jersey. Don loved being with his family, had a great sense of humor, and was loved by all who knew him. The family would like to thank Don's primary care group, the nurse aides and therapists at Crestfield Rehabilitation, the St. Francis nursing staff, and the Visiting Nurse and Health Services of Connecticut hospice workers for all their help during his illness. Don is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Florence M. Brisson of Manchester, CT; two sons, Wallace Brisson and his wife Zenna of Stafford Springs, CT, and Kevin Brisson of Stafford Springs, CT; four daughters, Mary O'Jeda and her husband Carlos of New York, Patricia Kloppenburg and her husband Bernhard of Florida, Sarah Gianantoni and her husband Steve of Stafford Springs, CT, and Laura Sternberg and her husband Ken of Manchester, CT; 12 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Maureen Gasper and her husband Raymond of Virginia; a sister-in-law, Beverley Brisson of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Stanley and Robert Brisson. A funeral will be held on Monday, August 28, 2006, with a procession forming at 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-4 P.M. at the funeral home.
