Donald "Butch" Scribner,'s Obituary
Donald E. “Butch” Scribner, Jr., 69, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Rockville General Hospital, Rockville, CT. He was born in Vernon, CT, son of the late Donald E., Sr. and Florence Scribner. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and had previously worked as a driver for Vernon Taxi. He was a member of the former Polish-American Club in Rockville. He was always full of humor, and greatly enjoyed fishing, bowling, dancing, and playing pool. Don will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 44 years, Beverly Scribner of Stafford Springs, CT; two daughters, Laura Jacobs and her husband Kenny of Chicopee, MA, and Tammy Brown of Stafford Springs, CT; three grandchildren, Jessica Morneault, Keith Brown, and Stephanie Brown; and two great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Matthew Morneault. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 11 A.M. at the Rockville Church of the Nazarene, 47 East St., Rockville, CT. Burial will be held privately.
