Donald R. Griffin Sr.'s Obituary
Donald R. Griffin, Sr., 79, of Willington, CT, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025. He was born in Hartford, CT, son of the late Edward Kautz and Mary (Croteau) Griffin. Don served our country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era, and retired from the State of Connecticut DEP as an accountant. He enjoyed bowling, hiking, mountain climbing, traveling, and sudoku. Affectionately known as “Grump PA”, Don is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lynette (Mills) Griffin; three children, Donald R. Griffin, Jr. and his husband Alejandro Pagan, Maureen Griffin and her wife Michele, and Darryl Griffin and his wife Kristy; 12 grandchildren; brother, Stephen Kautz and his wife Pam; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Paul Griffin; step father, Maurice Griffin; mother Mary (Croteau) and two brothers, Paul and Richard Griffin. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
