Donald Horton's Obituary
Donald E. Horton, 84, of Union, CT, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT on August 27, 1928, son of the late Nelson Horton and Mabel (Heck) Horton. Don was the former owner of the Horton Bus Company in Union for 20 years, and retired as a foreman from Old Windsor Press in Bloomfield. His hobbies included camping, traveling, NASCAR, and above all, spending time with his family. Don is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy (French) Horton; six daughters "His Girls" and their husbands, Linda and Kevin DaRos, Donna Sultzbach, Patty and Bill DuPont, Mary and Rudy Supina, Diane and Albert Royce, and Brenda and Joe Gagnon; 17 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his cats, Tiger and Muffin. He was predeceased by two sisters; and a son-in-law, Paul Sultzbach. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 4-8 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. His funeral service is on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at the Eastford Baptist Church, 133 Union Rd., Eastford, CT. Burial will follow in Union North Cemetery, Union, CT.
