Doris McCloskey's Obituary
Doris R. McCloskey, 87, wife of the late James McCloskey, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Woodlake at Tolland, Tolland, CT. She was born on September 14, 1922 in Leominster, MA, daughter of the late Henry and Flora (St. Martin) Gamache. Doris was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy stationed in Brooklyn, NY. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Michelle Stone and her husband Mark, and their son Ryan of Evergreen, CO, and Sharon Uhlman and her husband Jeff of Stafford Springs, CT; her sister-in-law, Helen Gamache of Leominster, MA; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Gamache. Doris will lovingly be remembered for her devotion to her daughters and their families, her wonderful sense of humor, her nurturing nature that extended to many beyond her children, and for her warm and generous heart. She will be missed by so many. Her family would like to extend their warmest thanks to the loving and caring staffs at Welles Country Village, Woodlake at Tolland, and North Central Hospice.
