Dorothy Baxter's Obituary
Dorothy A. Baxter, 72, of Orcuttville Rd., Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2007 surrounded by her family at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs, CT, after a two year battle with brain cancer. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Albert and Mary Rose (Bonneau) Lanagan. Dorothy retired from the Stafford Public Library after many years of service. She was a member of St. Edward Parish and Court Isabella #785 Catholic Daughters of The Americas. Dorothy and Floyd enjoyed many years of camping and traveling. They especially enjoyed their new home in Florida where they were surrounded by all their special friends. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Floyd E. 'Joe' Baxter; her three children, Deborah L. Siebert and her husband Dennis, Gary E. Baxter and his wife Jackie-Lyn, and Patti A. Maher and her husband Thomas; five very special grandchildren, Kaalyn, Krista, Jordan, Joshua, and Kelly; a brother, Robert Lanagan and his wife Joann; two sisters, Lillian Kelly and her husband James, and Rita Driesch; two brothers-in-law, Theodore Baxter and his wife Virginia, and Al Baxter and his wife Jean; two sisters-in-law, Yvonne Lanagan and Pat Baxter; and many special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, George and Albert Lanagan. A funeral will be held on Monday, January 29, 2007, with a procession forming at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Sunday from 2-5 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Stafford Public Library, P.O.
