Dorothy Burdick's Obituary
Dorothy M. Burdick, 87, of East St., Stafford Springs, CT, beloved wife of the late Chester A. Burdick, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs, CT. She was born in Stafford, CT, daughter of the late Peter and Margaret (Bruzzi) Figone. Dorothy retired as a nurse's aide from Johnson Memorial Hospital and also worked as a private duty nurse. She was a member of St. Edward Parish, the Stafford Grange, Stafford Senior Center, Stafford Historical Society, and North Central Pomona. Dorothy is survived by her four children, Russell Burdick and his wife Janice of New Hampshire, Donna Swanson of Holland, MA, Chester Burdick and his wife Sandra of Stafford Springs, CT, and Holly Cheman and her companion Martin Miedzinski of Monson, MA; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, James and John; and four sisters, Mae, Adele, Rose, and Theresa. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 2 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 1-2 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.
