Dorothy "Dot" Panciera's Obituary
Dorothy M. "Dot" Panciera, 82, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. Dot was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late James and Flora (Rabideau) Vail. In addition to being a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother, Dot worked as a hairdresser for many years, and was a member of St. Edward Parish and Ladies Guild, and Court Isabella #785 Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a dedicated member of the Spiritual Renewal Services for the Diocese of Norwich. Dot is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Edward H. "Neddy" Panciera; four children, Harold Panciera and his wife Larraine, James Panciera and his wife Martha, Donna Tyrrell and her husband David, and Danny Panciera and his wife Marcia; nine grandchildren, Shawn, Kelly, Melissa, Stephen, Audra, Anna, Jason, Adam and Ben; several beloved great grandchildren; two sisters, Lucy Hebert and Agnes Fontanella and her husband Tracy; two sisters-in-law, Edith Bresnahan and Edith Vail; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. She was predeceased by her brother, James Vail. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Memorial donations may be made to St. Edward Church, 6 Benton St., Stafford Springs, CT 06076.
