Dorothy E. Farney, 74, born in Brooklyn NY, loving wife of the late Eugene R. Farney, daughter of the late Arthur and Ida (Peterson) Lind; was a resident of Spring Hill, FL who passed away on Friday December 10, 2010. Dorothy retired as a claims representative from Monarch Life Insurance Co. of Springfield, MA. She is survived by her five children; Eugene Farney, (the late) Christine Nick survived by husband Randy Nick, Suzanne Rizzo and her husband Jesse Rizzo, Richard Farney, Karen Farney, and Dee Farney; five grandchildren, Jaime, Anthony, and Erik Rizzo, and Kristina and Alec Farney; two sisters, Joanne Nilsen and Ruth Lind; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
