Edith V. Vail's Obituary
Edith V. Vail, 91, of Stafford Springs, CT, wife of the late Francis “Jim” Vail, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Vern and Inez (Douglas) Hatt. Edie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Spending time wither her family meant the world to her. Her favorite hobby and pastime was knitting, and she especially loved being a part of her knitting club many years ago with women she had a lifetime friendship with. Edie is survived by four children, Brian Vail and his wife Cheryl of Stafford Springs, CT, Kevin Vail of Carson City, NV, Mark Vail of Carson City, NV, and Kurt Vail of Stafford Springs, CT; son-in-law, Ken Olesen of Las Vegas, NV; the lights of her life, her nine grandchildren, Keri Rollins and her husband Les, Jeremy Vail and Kim Waskiewicz, Matthew Vail and his wife Jennifer, Kelly Murdock and her husband Steve, and Kayla, Hannah, Noah, Sarah, and Vivian Vail; her loves, her nine great grandchildren, Lauren, Zach, Austin, Jake, Maggie, Cole, Mackenzie, Addison, and Abraham; two siblings, Charles Hatt of East Brookfield, MA, and Beverly Christensen of Vernon, CT; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two children, Keith Vail and Heidi Olesen; great grandson, Brian John Murdock; and three sisters, Julia Fox, Marjorie Anderson, and Elsie Stewart. She had a special and loving bond with her sisters and brother. Her funeral will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be at St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
