Edward "Bosco" Fowler's Obituary
Edward “Bosco” Fowler, 59, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 9, 2023. He was born in Portsmouth, VA, son of the late Edgar and Noreen Rose (Ashley) Fowler. Bosco retired as a corrections officer from the State of Connecticut, and was currently employed by Stafford Bolles Motors as a salesman. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Sandy (Bitondi) Fowler, and four children and their spouses: Andrew Fowler, Jessica and Corey Bennett, Patrick and Christine Bombard, Anna Bombard and Kiel Downey; three grandchildren: Adriana, Adalyn and Bradley Bennett; four siblings: Michael Fowler and his wife Kristin, Shirley Merritt and her husband Stephen, Jesse Fowler, and Patricia Laska and her husband Michael; his sister-in-law Ann Lassy and her husband Steve; several nieces and nephews and their families: Michael, Joey and Kathryn Fowler, Alex Laska, Sarah Krivoruchka, Tom and Chris Lassy, and his niece Erin Bedusand her husband Joe who joined in on the always entertaining Sunday night dinners; his beloved dog Lilly; and last but never least, the grand-dogs: Nahla, Bailey, Roxie, Axle and Luna. He was predeceased by his son, Bryan Fowler. Bosco proudly served his community volunteering for many organizations and many events. As an avid Baltimore Orioles fan, Bosco brought his passion for baseball to Stafford while serving for many years as Little League president. He chauffeured into town MLB baseball alums, and orchestrated Legends Night fundraisers to fund the building of the Stafford batting cages. Bosco was active in fundraising for school and recreational activities, and his voice could be heard at Stafford High School’s Friday night football games. Bosco served as a justice of the peace for many years. Along with his partners Jimi and Ed, Bosco played music at many events as Gemini Juke Box DJ Services. In his free time, Bosco loved to take long drives to many destinations, especially Graceland, with his beloved wife Sandy and favorite “child” Lilly. Bosco lived life to the fullest with the desire and unique ability to reach out to others. He will be deeply missed by his family, his friends and the countless people whose lives he touched. Bosco embraced the idea that you should try and leave this world a little better than you found it. Mission accomplished. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 11 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church, 8 Church St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow at Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Stafford Little League, P.O.
