Edward Haiko's Obituary
Edward C. Haiko, 63, of Old Monson Rd., Stafford Springs, CT, died Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Hartford, CT, son of the late Edward and Helen (Johnson) Haiko. Ed was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran. He retired from A & P after 36 years of employment as a shipping and receiving clerk, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sandra (Ronczyk) Haiko; two sons, Cory E. Haiko and his wife Wendy, and Peter J. Haiko, all of Stafford Springs, CT; three grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Rose Haiko of Enfield, CT, and James and Susan Haiko of Stafford Springs, CT; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Patricia and James Bonney of Enfield, CT, Janice Colagiovanni of Suffield, CT, and Maureen and Francis Weatherwax of Springfield, MA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
