Edwin Raith's Obituary
Edwin A. Raith, 87, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Henry and Elsie (Possardt) Raith. Edwin was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran having served during World War II, and retired from Warren Woolen Company as a supervisor after 44 years of employment. He was also an avid gardener. Edwin is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Frances A. Raith; three children, Edwin W. Raith and his wife Susan, Robert J. Raith and his wife Barbara; and Kathryn L. Bacha; four grandchildren, Michael Raith, William Raith, Jessica Bacha, and James Raith; a great granddaughter, Madison; two sisters, Theresa Hollay and Louise Omer; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Raith. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Friday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
