Elaine E. Wochomurka's Obituary
Elaine E. (Kunhardt) Wochomurka, 89, of Stafford Springs, CT, beloved wife of 62 years to the late William R. Wochomurka, Jr., passed away on July 22, 2018. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Edmund and Eula (Davis) Kunhardt. Elaine worked as a library assistant, starting at West Stafford School and then for the Stafford Public Library, for 30 plus years, of which her favorite position was “story hour” with many of the town’s toddlers. Elaine is survived by her daughter, Kim Wochomurka; two grandsons, to whom she devoted much time and love, Tyler Burnell and his wife Dalia and Damon B. Wochomurka; two step grandchildren, Lacy and Jesse Gallison; two sisters, Shirley Satkowski and her husband Joseph, and Nancy Roberts; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two daughters, Sally Gallison and Pamela Lawson; and son-in-law, Marty Gallison. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to Elaine’s hospice nurses, caregivers, and Lacy and Kathy, for all of their care and support. A calling hour will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 from 12-1 P.M. with a prayer service to take place at 1 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Union Center Cemetery, Union, CT. Memorial donations may be made to the Stafford Library Association, 10 Levinthal Run, Stafford Springs, CT 06076.
