Eleanor Palmer's Obituary
Eleanor M. Palmer, 76, of Stafford Springs, CT, beloved wife of the late Harry M. Palmer, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2007 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. She was born in Willington, CT, daughter of the late John and Mary (Trnovsky) Koniar. Eleanor worked as a cafeteria employee for the Stafford Public School System for 40 years. She was a member of the Federated Church of Willington, and volunteered her time at the church and Stafford Soup Kitchen. Everyone Eleanor met became a friend. She dedicated her life to the service and encouragement of others. She now will enjoy the rewards of eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven. Eleanor is survived by her four children, Alden 'Chuck' Palmer and his wife Cathlin of Stafford Springs, CT, Jim Palmer and his wife Laurene of North Windham, CT, Larry Palmer of Stafford Springs, CT, and Diane Kuchinsky and her husband Dave of Willington, CT; three grandchildren, A.J., Caitlin, and Christian; nine siblings, Adolph Koniar of Storrs, CT, William Koniar and his wife Lillian of Rockville, CT, Milan Koniar and his wife Helen of Rockville, CT, Edward Koniar and his wife Elaine of Holiday, FL, Evelyn Williams of Tampa, FL, Alice Sousa and her husband Neil Williams of Orlando, FL, Dorothy Vogel and her husband Ronald of Stafford Springs, CT, Rosanne Parizek and her husband Jerry of Willington, CT, and Mary Jane Labbe and her husband Roland of Tolland, CT; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. She was predeceased by a brother, John Koniar; and a sister, Julia (Parizek) Carter. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Eleanor's life at her funeral service on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 2 P.M. at the Federated Church of Willington 'Hall Memorial Church', River Rd. (Rte. 32), Willington, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT.
