Elizabeth Z. Borovicka's Obituary
Elizabeth (Zelinka) Borovicka, 93, beloved wife of the late Thomas S. Borovicka, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Norah’s Place in Rockville, CT. She was born in Tolland, CT, daughter of the late Stefan and Anastasia (Zaplawa) Zelinka. Betty worked as an office manager for the Connecticut D.E.P., and was a member of St. Jude Church, the Willington Senior Center, and the Willington Czechoslovakian Club. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Norah’s Place in Vernon, where Betty lived for the last four years. Betty is survived by her four children, Nancy Barrett and her husband Bob, Robert Borovicka and his wife Judith, Charles Borovicka and his wife Rita, and Stephen Borovicka and his wife Tracey; nine grandchildren, Amy Warren, Amanda Lansdell, and Jennifer, Jeffrey, Christopher, Cory, Garth, William and Zachary Borovicka; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Beside her husband, she was predeceased by her three siblings, Anna Hawkes, Catherine Vonasek and Nicholas Zelinka. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington, CT. Calling hours will be on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 5 – 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
