Ellen C. Lichanec's Obituary
Ellen C. Lichanec, 83, of Willington, CT, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at her home. She was born in Vernon, CT, daughter of the late Andrew, Jr. and Christine (Filip) Lichanec. Ellen worked as a secretary in the Patho Biology Department at the University of Connecticut, and was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Affectionately known to family and friends as “Auntie Ellen”, she is survived by her brother, Leonard Lichanec and his wife Catherine; nephew, Daniel Lichanec; two nieces, Lisa Lichanec and her daughter Sarai, and Linda Brotcke and her husband Bret and their children Ann, Luke, Stephen, and Jacob; and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Joan Boor. Her funeral will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016, with a procession forming by 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a church service at 11 A.M. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, West Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington, CT. Calling hours are on Thursday from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
