Dear Uncle Frank,
I am sorry to hear of Emily's passing. It seems that you and your family have had more than its share of hardships through the years. I am saddened by this because my childhood memories of time that I spent at your home are filled with enjoyment whether exploring the farm and its back lands, the summer parties in the yard, or the smile that was ever present when Emily greeted me at the door(always ready to feed me something).
Of course, I can not imagine your grief having lost your best friend and confidant after 54 years. I wish that I could be there to express my support in person especially because of the kindness you have shown me when both of my parents passed. I could not express how much I appreciated that then and have never forgotten it. Always remember that your best memories will always be remain with you and Emily will always live on in your heart.
Love,
Joan
Dear Fran, Dawn and children,
I am very sorry to hear of your mom's/grandmother's passing. Emily was a very special lady-always smiling. I wish that I could be there to pay my respects in person but please know that I am there in spirit.
Love,
Joan

Dear Frank, Fran, Dawn, and family,
We are so saddened to hear of Emily's passing. I know it has been very difficult for the entire family. Each of have our special memories of Emily.Frank, you were married for 54 years. Fran, you and your sister enjoyed her as a mother. Dawn, I know she loved you very much. My memories are of someone who married into the Rudnansky family and was welcomed with open arms by Emily. There was never an occasion at the farm that we didn't hear her laugh, see her bright smile, and enjoy a table laden with food from her gracious hospitality. And don't forget Happy Louie. She was a fan extrordinaire! Over the years I thanked Emily for her kind heartedness and consideration. I'm glad she knew how much we appreciated her loving ways. My heart is with all of you. Emily was a very special person to me. Love, Linda
Uncle Frank
I am so sorry about Aunt Emily. I spoke with her briefly on Monday and knew she had been ill (Fran has kept me informed) but of course it is still hard to accept her passing.
I just want you to know that although we are 3000 miles away in California, Linda's and my thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of the family.
I have very fond memories of Aunt Emily and the farm when I was growing up in Connecticut. Aunt Emily always seemed to have a hot chocolate ready after us kids were sledding or tobogganing in the winter and ice water or lemonade when we were working around the farm or just playing in the summer. I will always remember her smile and laugh.
We will not be able to make it back to Connecticut for the services but please know that we send our love, thoughts and prayers.
Rich
