Esther L. Carpenter, 91, of Benton St., Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at her home. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Michael and Ida (Delfavero) Lazarus. Esther retired as a secretary from the Warren Woolen Company. She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert R. Carpenter of Stafford Springs, CT; a daughter, Diane Carroll of Pennsylvania; a granddaughter, Stacie Irish and her husband Matthew of Stafford Springs, CT; and a great granddaughter, Amber Rose Irish.
