Esther Fontanella's Obituary
Esther F. Fontanella, 94, of Stafford Springs, CT, wife of the late Ateo R. Fontanella and William A. Ostrowski, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Francesco and Madelina (Guarco) Fiamengo. Esther owned and operated "Esther's Beauty Nook" for 60 years. She was a member of St. Edward Parish, the Stafford Senior Center, the Stafford Historical Society, and the Stafford Mill Town Quilters. Esther was an avid golfer in her later years having made two hole-in-ones. Esther is survived by her son, Robert Ostrowski and his wife Cindy of Bozeman, MT; daughter-in-law, Lisa Ostrowski; and two granddaughters, Mettie and Isabella Ostrowski, all of Stafford Springs, CT. She was predeceased by her son, William F. Ostrowski; brothers, John Fiamengo, Amerigo "Mack" Fiamengo, and Louis Fiamengo; and sisters, Mary Ostrowski and Inez Fiamengo. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT.
