Evelyn Reed's Obituary
Evelyn B. Reed, 94, of Stafford Springs, CT, formerly of Meriden, CT and Springfield, MA, wife of the late Edwin A. Reed, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011 at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs, CT. She was born in Wallingford, CT, daughter of the late Theofbil and Victoria (Morozowski) Staniszewski. Evelyn was a member of the Polish National Club. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Kempton and her husband Leland L. III of Stafford Springs, CT; two grandchildren, Lucinda Hallowell and her husband Michael of Enfield, CT, and Leland L. Kempton IV and his girlfriend Ashley Bartholomew of Somers, CT; two great granddaughters, Ariana Kempton and Stephanie Hallowell; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Leona Gestay and Florence Staiszewski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 11 A.M. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield, CT. Burial will be held privately in St. John’s Cemetery, Wallingford, CT. The family would like to thank the staff at Evergreen Health Care Center for their care and support during Evelyn’s stay.
