Francis Dougherty,'s Obituary
Francis J. Dougherty, Jr., 76, of West St., Stafford Springs, CT, beloved husband of the late Revonda (Perkins) Dougherty, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Blair Manor, Enfield, CT. He was born in Springfield, MA, son of the late Francis J., Sr. and Doris J. (Woodrow) Dougherty. Francis was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, and retired as a school bus driver from Laid Law. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion where he served as a past commander, member of V.F.W. Post No. 9990 of Stafford, Stafford Senior Center, Stafford Sportsmen Club, and enjoyed going to the casino. Francis is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Dougherty) Malone and her husband John of Stafford Springs, CT; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Terry and Richard; a sister, Jane; his companion, Louise Omer; several nieces and nephews; and his cat, Biggy. He was predeceased by his son, Terry Dougherty; and grandson, Joseph Dupuis. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2009 from 12-2 P.M. followed by a funeral service at 2 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
