Francis R. Works,'s Obituary
Francis “Markey” R. Works, Sr., 81, of Tolland, CT, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 11, 2011. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Marcus and Anna (Serafin) Works. Markey served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and had worked as a welder at the former Stafford Printer’s and then Bill’s Auto Parts. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Alice (Janiak) Works; four sons, Jerry Works and his wife Cindy, Francis R. Works, Jr. and his wife Denise, Brian Works and his wife Valerie, all of Stafford Springs, CT, and Michael Works and his wife Suzette of Coventry, CT; seven grandchildren, Nick, Peter, Anthony, Melissa, Vincent, Andrew, and Gabrielle; several great grandchildren; brother, John Works; sister, Judy Mc Ananama; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Marcus Works; and two brothers, Paul and Noel Works. His funeral will be held on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in South Cemetery, Tolland, CT.
