Frank E. Estey's Obituary
Frank Edward Estey, 90, of Woodstock, Connecticut, died Saturday, July 5, 2025. Frank was born on August 13, 1934 in Orange, Massachusetts. He was the son of Fenwick and Eltheda Ward Estey.
Raised on a mountain top in Bristol, Vermont overlooking Lake Champlain, Frank left
home to serve in the Army in Korea. Upon returning, he moved to Connecticut and worked as a machinist. Not long after arriving in Connecticut, he joined the congregation of the Nazarene Church in West Hartford. He owned and operated Accurate Automotive in Bloomfield, CT, before retiring to Woodstock in 1999.
A devoted son, husband , father, grandfather and brother, Frank was predeceased by his beloved wife Ann Keeler Estey; by his brothers Fenwick Estey (wife Paulita) and Richard Estey (wife Lelah); by his sisters Edith Estey; Eltheda Steady (husband Charles); Joanne Wendell (husband Harland); and Nancy Hallock (husband Hugh).
Frank’s family will deeply miss his thoughtful and loving care of them. He is survived by his stepchildren: Jennifer Fee, Sandra and Richard Messer, Christine and David McAskill, and James and Kathleen Hayward; and his step grandchildren: Claire Fee; Emily Monette, Anna and Sarah Messer; Christianne and Jessica McAskill and Gwenivere Shea-McAskill; JD, Cassandra and Travis Hayward; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM at New Life Church, 368 Westford Hill Rd., Ashford, CT. Burial will follow the service at Westford Hill Cemetery, Ashford, CT.
