Frank Toby Joseph Jr. Rivers
July 16, 1964 – April 6, 2025
Toby Rivers unexpectedly passed away on April 6, 2025 in Vernon, CT where he lived with his long-term fiancée Lori Nieves, daughter Haley Rivers and her boyfriend Evan Betterley. Toby was born in Franklin Vermont on July 16, 1964 and lived most of his life in CT.
Toby brought laughter to those around him. When asked if he got a haircut his response would always be “I didn’t get just one cut, I had them all cut”. Toby will be remembered for the love he had for his family, humorous personality, and adventurous character. Toby enjoyed fishing, old country music, joy rides on his motorcycle, and loved old classic cars. Toby was always tinkering around with anything that had a motor but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Toby is survived by his fiancée Lori Nieves, daughters Haley Rivers and her boyfriend Evan Betterley, Lisa Rivers, and stepdaughters Kristin O’Shea and her husband Bryan O’Shea, and Kaitlyn Nieves, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, friends and grandkids.
Toby is predeceased by his mother Rena Rivers, sister Rita Rivers, and son Joey Rivers.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday May 4, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Joanna's Restaurant, 145 Main St., Somers, CT, 06071.
