Frederic W. Streb's Obituary
Frederic W. Streb, 78, of Willington, CT, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Yonkers, NY, son of the late John and Mary (Johnson) Streb. Fred served in the United States Army Reserves as a Staff Sergeant. He owned and operated John P. Streb and Son Real Estate and Insurance in Dobbs Ferry, NY until his retirement. He was an active member of the New York State Association of Realtors, the New York State Appraisal Society (and served as a past president), the Dobbs Ferry Rotary Club (and served as a past president), and the Dobbs Ferry Chamber of Commerce. After racing go-karts up and down the east coast with his sons for many years, he continued to be a racing enthusiast, helping out on pit crews and regularly attending races at Stafford Motor Speedway. In addition, he was a faithful and active member of the First United Methodist Church in Stafford Springs, CT. Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Polly Streb; four children, Mary Beth Rauhofer and her husband Frank, Martin Streb and his wife Julie, Jay Streb and his wife Heather, and Tony Restuccia and his wife Apple; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, John Streb and his wife Ann; sister, Betsy Kincaid; and several nieces and nephew. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church, 8 Church St., Stafford Springs, CT.
