Frederick H. Hockla's Obituary
Frederick H. Hockla, 77, of Ormond Beach, FL, passed away on June 1, 2023. He was born in Stafford, CT in 1946, son of the late Paul and Elsie (Ramponi) Hockla. Fred served in the United States Air Force from 1965, with an honorable discharge in 1971. He worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as a quality engineer and manager for 40 years, and after his retirement, returned as a support consultant, completing 57 years with Pratt & Whitney. He moved to Ormond Beach, FL in 2000, building a dream beach house. He enjoyed traveling and living on the beach. His wife, Louise Woodruff-Hockla, predeceased him in 2005. Fred is survived by his dear companion, Larry Taravella, sister, Dottie Piccininni and her husband Robert, brother, Frank Hockla and his wife Carol, step daughter, Debra Woodruff-Johnson and her husband Cecil, stepson, Gregory Woodruff, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Anna Mae Hockla. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. A graveside service with Military Honors will follow at 12:30 P.M. at St. Edward Cemetery, West Stafford Rd., Stafford Springs, CT. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
