Frederick Islieb's Obituary
Frederick H. Islieb, 90, of Forbes St., East Hartford, CT, beloved husband of the late Carole A. (Dunn) Islieb, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Manchester Memorial Hospital, Manchester, CT. He was born in Danbury, CT, son of the late Howard and Katherine Islieb. Frederick was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and retired as a carpenter from the local carpenters union. He was also an active member of the East Hartford South End Senior Center. Frederick is survived by his two children, Frederick S. Islieb and his wife Amanda of Georgia, and Cynthia Jewell of Tolland, CT; three grandchildren, Jillian Whetton, Justin Schofield, and Renee Islieb; and a great granddaughter, Halie Whetton. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 2 P.M. at St. James Cemetery, Grove St., Glastonbury, CT.
