My sincere condolences to the Campbell family and to all of Gail's friends. I am saddened by the news of her death.

Gail and I were very close in school. We spent many hours in deep conversation sharing confidences throughout high school. I have many great memories of spending time together. We shared the experience of a first double date, had many a sleep over, and she was a bridesmaid in my wedding. She has always held a special place in my heart with what seemed to be more than her share of life's struggles.
We spoke on the phone for a very long time catching up on 35 years of life's details about three years ago. I tried to encourage her to keep in touch online but she said that she had no use for a computer. She was a very genuine person with a kind soul, an easy laugh and a wonderful smile.

I hope that your many good memories will ease the pain of your loss.

I send my sympathy to the Campbell family. Gail has a special place in my heart. She was my 1st girl friend. Of course it was 1959 and I didn't have a job and very little money in my piggy bank. I couldn't afford a proper ring so our relationship didn't last very long. Gail and I were in Mrs. Leightons kindergarden class in Stafford Hollow. My family uncles always asked me who my girl friend was and I said Gail Campbell. So they always kidded me and asked me how was the Campbell Soup Girl. Those were innocent times. I hope this memory gives you a smile and lets you know that I share happy memories because of your sister Gail and will keep those memories until I to walk the road that Gail walked on Sunday. Gail was my first roommate along with a number of cats, a rabbit, a dog, fish, and a snake. YES she did love animals! We had some interesting times together.She introduced me to my husband Gene, nearly 40 years ago. For that alone she will always be remembered fondly.
