Gary A. Quinn Jr.'s Obituary
Gary A. Quinn, Jr., 56, of Ellington, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 14, 2020. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of Gary A., Sr. and Mary (Carley) Quinn of Stafford Springs, CT. Gary was employed as a truck driver for Environmental Services, Inc. Besides his parents, Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Gail (Hannigan) Quinn; two sisters, Andrea Locke and her husband John, and Allison Ingui; nieces and nephews, Samantha West and her husband Nicholas, John Locke, Jr. and his fiancé Rachel O’Brien, Valerie Ingui, and Patrick Ingui and his fiancé Madison Loggins; great niece, Quinn West; four step children, Christopher Munson and his wife Nikki, Debra Reed Munson and her wife Jenna Reed, Timothy Munson, and Kimberly Netto and her husband Alexander; two grandchildren, Mason and Andrew; and two sisters-in-law and their families, Nancy Gegesky and her husband Charles, and Susan Hannigan. Gary enjoyed vacations with family at every opportunity he could. He especially loved traveling, driving big trucks, and taking long motorcycle rides throughout New England and down the East Coast. He was an avid motorcycle rider and participated in as many fundraisers and benefit rides he and his motorcycle buddies could find. Gary also enjoyed taking pictures of all his adventures and was known as the unofficial “photographer” for family events. He made sure any truck, car, or bike he was around was hand washed, shined, and waxed without prompting. Gary was devoted to his work at Environmental Services Inc; he’d stop in to work on Sunday afternoons to check in, plan the week, and prep the trucks for himself and his co-workers. He’d then race in each morning, open the doors, wash his truck, and wait for the day’s orders with a coffee in each hand and genuine smile upon his face. If he was not home watching any sporting event on TV, Gary could be found at Casey’s Cafe or the Yarde House having a beer with his closest friends. Gary’s warm smile, boisterous voice, and selfless personality will be engrained in all who met him. His funeral will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Ellington Center Cemetery, Ellington, CT. Calling hours are on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Gary was an avid supporter of the Law Enforcement and First Responder community; in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in the form of new and unwrapped toys for children up to age 10, may be mailed or hand delivered to Toys for Joy, The Enfield Police Department, 293 Elm St. Enfield, CT 06084; in memory of Gary Quinn.
