Gary A. Quinn Sr.'s Obituary
Gary A. Quinn, Sr., “GQ”, 87, of Stafford Springs, CT passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Glens Falls, NY, son of the late James and Julia (Cardinal) Quinn. Gary graduated from Castleton State University with a Bachelor’s in Education; New York University with a Master’s in Education; and Manchester Community College with an Associate’s in Criminal Justice. He retired from Stafford High School in 1998 after 37 ½ years of teaching. Gary was a member of Castleton State University Alumni Association. GQ was also a member of the Stafford Fire Department No. 1 for 58 years, and served as Police Officer and Constable for the Town of Stafford Police Department. He was also an Auxiliary Officer with the Connecticut State Police. He enjoyed reading, camping, hunting, traveling (especially to Montana), and spending time with family. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary (Carley) Quinn; daughters, Andrea Locke and her husband John, and Allison Ingui; daughter-in-law, Gail Quinn; grandchildren, Samantha West and her husband Nicholas, John Locke, Jr. and his wife Rachel, Valeri Ingui and her fiancé Blake, and Patrick Ingui and his wife Madison; and great grandchildren, Parker, Quinn, Walker, Weston, Jonathan and Campbell. He was predeceased by his son, Gary A. Quinn, Jr.; and brother, Anthony Quinn. Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc. 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Ellington Center Cemetery, Ellington, CT.
