George Brndiar's Obituary
George Brndiar, 87, formerly of Ashford, CT and Stafford Springs, CT, husband of the late Helen (Woytik) Brndiar, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born in Willington, CT, son of the late Paul and Julia (Huska) Brndiar. George served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and worked in construction as a carpenter. He is survived by his three children, John G. Brndiar, Daniel Brndiar, and Judith Mackiewicz and her husband Paul; grandson, John C. Brndiar; three sisters, Esther Pellizari, Julia Brndiar, and Anna Day; brother, Edward Brndiar; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Andrew Brndiar. Funeral services with burial in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington, CT, will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made to Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, 100 Warren Circle, Storrs, CT 06268.
