George Hill's Obituary
George E. Hill, 95, of West Shore Rd., Ellington, CT, died Thursday, April 27, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford, CT. He was the widower of the late Elinore (Phelps) Hill. George was born in Hartford, CT, son of the late George W. and Mary (Turley) Hill. He was a U.S. Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, and retired from The Hartford as an underwriter. George was a member of the Suffield Sportsmen's Association, Inc., and an avid hunter and fisherman. George is survived by a nephew, James A. Crowley and his wife Marianne of Hartford, CT, and a great nephew, James H. Crowley of California. He was predeceased by a brother, Herbert Hill, and a sister, Catherine Crowley. Funeral services with burial in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT, will be private. There are no calling hours.
