George Lemire's Obituary
George Francis Lemire was born on May 10, 1950 to the late George Joseph and Mary (Blanche) Lemire in Stafford Springs, CT and passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013 in Copperas Cove, TX. George retired from the U.S. Army as a 1SG/E8 on July 3, 1991 at Ft. Hood, TX. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and drove open wheel Modifieds in Texas. George is survived by his wife Triss (Topel) Lemire; two sons, Joshua Lemire and his wife Antoinette, and Nathan Lemire and his wife Summer; two grandchildren, Nina and Alex Lemire; two brothers, Dennis and his wife Linda, and Keith and his wife Julie; four sisters, Theresa Patton, Doreen Allen and her husband David, Denise Hatch and her husband Gary, and Lorri Kellner and her husband Mark; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Judy Webb. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove, TX with full military honors.
