George Lester Schofield, Jr., 89, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2012 at Evergreen Health Care Center with his beloved wife of 68 years, Rose (Sedlak) Schofield, at his side. He was the first son of George and Olga (Pobuda) Sch Read Obituary

I did not know Mr Schofield. But in reading his obituary and hearing abouthim fromhis daughter. He must have been a great man. He instilled strong moral, civic and ethical values into his daughter (my good friend) Shelia. May the family find comfort and blessings in their faith and good memories.
Have some great childhood memories and will never forget the help he provided when I built my house. Rese we will all miss him.

We were so sorry to hear of George's (Jeep's) passing. Frank (Squeaky) remembers visting the Farm as a kid and how much he enjoyed it. We both remember the reunions and were so glad that you both attended our 50th anniversary party. We send our deepest sympathy and will keep you in our prayers.

Uncle George was fortunate for having lived a long and wonderful life in one of the most beautiful parts of Connecticut. Sympathies to Aunt Rose, Sheila, Roger, the grandchildren and the great grandchildren.

My memories of our visits to my Grandmother Peggy's were alway filled with Uncle George teasing and telling great stories. I loved visiting you two at your cabin and Uncle George so full of life making it an exciting adventure. He was a fun and interesting man! This world was lucky to have him!! I send you love and strength to get through this difficult time!
