Georgia Michalec's Obituary
Georgia Michalec, age 66, passed away on June 2, 2018. She is survived by her loving life mate of 36 years, Christine White, and her brother, Monty Michalec. Georgia lived a very full life. As a young woman she was a free spirit. Even as a child, she always wished to be a psychotherapist and she took great pleasure in her career, especially her private practice. She enjoyed helping people reach their fullest potential. A lifelong Feminist, she worked extensively with women around trauma, self-esteem, and body image issues. Georgia was known for her creativity, passion, and determination. She approached any idea or project with enormous energy. For many years, she was focused on promoting the arts in her community. Georgia valued learning about different regions and cultures through travel, and later in life described herself as a bonafide Francophile. She was feisty and would protest what she felt was wrong and did not back away from conflict. Georgia valued deep friendship and had a wonderful group of friends that she loved and who will miss her dearly. Calling hours are on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be private.
