Geraldine F. Kirby's Obituary
Geraldine F. Kirby, 98, of Vernon, CT, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Fox Hill Center. She was born in Springfield, MA, daughter of the late Leon Ford and Julia (Minor) Carrington. Jerrie was a great believer in helping others. She was a member of Haven United Methodist Church in East Providence, RI for over 60 years, then became a member of the Rockville United Methodist Church after moving to Willington, CT. She was also a member of Rebekah – Independent Order of Odd Fellows for 67 years, and the Providence In-Town Churches Association soup kitchen for over 20 years. Jerrie is survived by her daughter, Sandra Bogan (Paul); four grandchildren, Ed Bogan (Deb), Arnold Bogan, Jennifer Bradshaw (Peter), and Tina Colffield (Donnie); three great grandchildren, Skyler Bogan, Bruce Bradshaw, and Aishlinn Bradshaw; a daughter-in-law, Donna Hall; sister-in-law, Virginia Hall; four step children, Lee, Alan, Jane and Susan Kirby; a step grandson, Scott Kirby; her dear friend, Kathy, who was so kind to “Gram” in her final days; Judie Culy (Stan), who thought of Jerrie like a mother; and several nieces, nephews, and many, many friends. She was predeceased by her husbands, Edwin Hall and Woodrow Kirby; her son, E. Bruce Hall; and two brothers, Donald Ford and Larry Ford Faulk. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
