Gloria Jezek's Obituary
Gloria (Miller) Jezek, 80, of Staffordville, CT, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2006 at Evergreen Health Care Center in Stafford. Gloria was born in Montgomery, PA, July 16, 1926 daughter of the late Fred and Alma (Wilson) Miller of Naugatuck CT. She leaves behind her loving husband of 61 years Jack Jezek, her brother James Miller and wife Norma of Charlestown, RI, her two daughters, Joanne Toney and Linda Fredette, with her husband Bob, all of Stafford, and two sons, Barry and his wife Marilyn and Fred and his wife Marie, all of Tolland. Gloria was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Gloria will also be remembered for her beautiful and distinctive cakes. For many years, 'Gloria's Cakes' was a familiar icon here in Stafford. As part of her legacy, Gloria will be handing down her baking talents to her daughters and grandchildren, especially her namesake Gloria Morse. Gloria will always be remembered as a kind and gentle soul who always put the needs of others before herself. It is in this spirit that Gloria will always be with us. A private memorial service was held Thursday, September 28, 2006 for the family. Those who wish may make a donation in her memory to a charity of their choice.
