Gloria Leppanen's Obituary
Gloria E. Leppanen, 82, of Maplewood, NJ, and formerly of Stafford Springs, CT, wife of the late Raymond N. Leppanen, died Sunday, September 3, 2006 at her home. She was born in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Jose Del Pilar and Cecilia Prieto-Cancel. She was a member of St. Edward Parish, the Catholic Daughters of America, and the bible study group of Our Lady of Sorrows. Gloria is survived by her four children, Philip G. Leppanen and his wife Virginia of Stafford Springs, CT, Audrey E. Phelps and her husband Randall of Ashburnham, MA, Mark C. Leppanen and his wife Joanna of Arcata, CA, and Marie C. Stratechuk and her husband Michael of Maplewood, NJ; ten grandchildren, Kristen Hillebrecht, Caroline Vexler, Daniel Phelps, Matthew Phelps, Kaarin Phelps, Kurt Stratechuk, Karl Stratechuk, David Leppanen, Andrew Leppanen, and Brittany Magnuson; three great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Hunter, and Luke Hillebrecht; two brothers, Louis and Arnold Del Pilar; and three sisters, Elisa Weinman, Elsie Te Saavedra, and Noelia Millings. She was predeceased by a brother and sister, William Del Pilar and Gladys Reyes. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 from 12:30-1:30 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2 P.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT.
