Gordon Woods' Obituary
Gordon A. 'Buster' Woods, 88, of Stafford St., Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Blair Manor, Enfield, CT. He was born in Warren, MA, son of the late Benjamin and Grace (Green) Woods. Gordon was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and retired as a maintenance supervisor from the Stafford School System. He was a member of the Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion, honorary life member of the Italian Benefit Society, member of the Stafford Fish and Game Club, and the Stafford Sportsmen's Club. Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Agnes L. Woods; a son, Robert B. Woods and his wife Diane, all of Stafford Springs, CT; a daughter, Nancy Ayer and her husband Kenneth; four grandchildren, Brian Michonski and his wife Melissa, Bruce Michonski and his wife Tracy, all of Maine, Jeffrey Woods and his wife Sally, and Bethany Hill and her husband Stephen, all of Stafford Springs, CT; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Jean Baxter and her husband Al of South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Woods; and two sisters, Ellen Bergeron and Norma Hansen. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 1 P.M. at St. Edward Cemetery, West Stafford Rd., Stafford Springs, CT.
