Grace "Betty" Finn's Obituary
Grace “Betty” Finn, 84, of Stafford Springs, CT, wife of the late Edward J. Finn, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016. She was born in Hartford, CT, daughter of the late John George and Grace (Holmes) Zimmermann. She is a graduate of Bulkeley High School (Class of 1950) and holds an A.S. degree from Springfield Technical Community College. Betty worked as Chief of X-Ray and an X-Ray Technician at Johnson Memorial Hospital for over 25 years, and recently worked for the Enfield Ambulatory Center and the Vernon Walk-In Medical Center. She was a caring and devoted person who took great pride in her work and helping others. Betty also volunteered at the Stafford Library. She was a parishioner of St. Edward Church, and member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, The Connecticut Society of Radiologic Technologists and maintained her Radiographer license with the Department of Public Health in the State of Connecticut. Betty is survived by her four children, Kathleen Asbury, Susan Finn and her fiancé Barry Morgan, Michael Finn, and John Finn; four grandchildren, Brett Asbury, Amy Asbury, Joleen Catania, and Diedra Finn; four great granddaughters, Gina, Savannah, Josephine, and Jossalyn; two sisters, Georgia Ochman and Ann (Pat) Miller; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Ellen Finn. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Friday from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
