Guy Michael Whiteley's Obituary
Guy Michael Whiteley, 64, of Bennington, NH and formerly of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH. Guy was born in Hartford, CT, the son of the late Thomas Whiteley and Norene (Delargy) Whiteley.
Guy is survived by his son, Aben Whiteley, daughter Melissa “Missy” Whiteley and her fiancé Mike Bourgeois of NH, his mother Norene Whiteley, his brother Thomas Whiteley and his wife, Shari, sister Christine DePellegrini and her husband, Dino of CT as well as two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by his wife of over 45 years, Terrie (Hornacek) Whiteley, who passed fifteen days prior (February 1, 2024) after a short battle with cancer. He is also preceded by his eldest son, Jeramey Whiteley (April 2023).
Guy was a great outdoorsman, animal lover (especially his cat Sioux) and was intrigued by the American Indian way of life. He could fix anything and enjoyed making crafts out of raw materials. He was a gifted athlete in his younger years. Most importantly, Guy was a friend to all with his gentle heart and calm demeanor.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Granite VNA Hospice House for treating Guy like a king, and with dignity and grace during his final days.
Calling hours for both Guy and Terrie by the Whiteley and Hornacek families will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
